Youtube Addiction

As the title of this post suggests, I AM A YOUTUBE ADDICT! I do not have a youtube account with videos of me because I love the interaction from others but youtube is...amazing. I barely watch t.v. but the shows I do watch, I do so online. www.hulu.com Today, I found myself reading Media Take Out, a celebrity gossip blog clearly written for a *certain* crowd. After many readings and clicking around the web, I ended up at the blog of Tila Tequila. As I continued to browse, I found my way on to youtube because of this Video.

The video itself is kind of on the long side but my favorite part of it all was this girl's voice. She sounds like Bey! Crazy huh? and well, who doesn't love Beyonce? But anywho, I had to stop myself after that video because I am addicted to youtube. I will click one video then another and another based on videos that are similar or something of which I randomly think. For example: I love Betty Page.. so I end up looking her up.

Wonderful video huh? But you get the idea... I go on and on.

So I guess the question that remains in the end is: Will Internet Video Viewing Replace T.V? Who knows... I just hope that those who watch me are entertained.

Mask

When I was about 10 years old, I remember writing a poem about masks. I don't have the exact poem now but it went something along the lines of how everyone wears a mask to hide who they really are from everyone else. Looking back on this, I realize that I was a little ahead of myself. While everyone does wear a mask, do they do so at their own volition?

The metaphoric mask to me can be involuntary if it is also
renamed the conscious. The conscious psyche serves as the reservoir of the things we know that we know and the place where we decide whether or not we want others to know. Does that make sense? I hope so. So then the next question should be: What is it that the metaphoric mask, known as the Conscious,is hiding?

The answer to that would be the unconscious. It's a dwelling of the things that we don't know we know. Wild huh? It's full of our repressed emotions, desires, and memories. It's the reason that certain things will make us feel a certain way but not understand why. An example of this could be the scenario in which I am not surprised Tiger Woods cheated on his wife and why I am embarrassed that I am not surprise he ruined his marr
iage. If you're into psychology, chew on that for a while.

Back to the blog. I found out last night during a show that guys really do not like masks! I wore one for a few moments to get reactions and let us just say, that mask came off real quick! I believe that men, especially men overtly seeking a sexually attractive female, do not want to deal with any form of mask because they are tired of t
hem. Men are tired of the mask women wear. This includes the false images of perfection and those that hide the possibly vulnerable side of their personalities. Everyday, they have to deal with the the false images that women put up everyday. Why does it take women FOREVER to get ready in the morning? Why are we so meticulous about every inch of our images. It may be insecurities or we can blame the media.

Long story story, men hate masks and it's about time we women get ride of them. Manufactured images take way too much time and energy to maintain. And besides, I think it's safe to say that men want a women that are sexy without the effort. Au natural sexiness.
